Visualizing Data

According to Wikipedia, data visualization is the study of the visual representation of data, meaning “information that has been abstracted in some schematic form, including attributes or variables for the units of information”. Why should teachers care about this? It is important that students understand how to read and interpret visual representations of data–graphs, charts, maps, etc.Some places to learn about using infographics:
